It is so hard to do justice to you Uncle Ian in a few words. You were a big part of our lives, particularly in the three years just before we moved to New Zealand when we lived on the Wirral close to Newton. Our families spent a lot of time together during those three years. So many memories come back and so many more will come back in the future. We used to love going to the Theatre Clwyd Pantos on New Year's Eve with you, Aunty Kathy, Stuart, Andrew and Kirsty. We used to love going to Whistling Sands in Wales with you guys, digging deep holes and buying ice creams and toys from the beach shop there. You coached our cub scout football team - I apologise for not being very good, although I still remember saving a goal off the line in one of our early games. That is probably the highlight of my football career. I think you said well done but then pointed out that I spent most of the game standing closer to our goal line than our own goalkeeper! Thanks to your football programme dedication you had written evidence that we played soccer against a young Daniel Craig - before he became James Bond! I used to love the combined family slide shows we used to have at your house. The french cricket we played in your backyard. The stamp collection you showed me some of when I was going through my stamp collecting phase. Stuart and I sleeping in your study when we were kids. When I finally returned to the UK about 25 years later with my wife and three children, you and Aunty Kathy welcomed us into your home, gave up your bed for us to sleep in while you both moved into the caravan during our stay. You took us on day trips to Liverpool and Wales - I particularly enjoyed the trip back to Whistling Sands again after so many years away. Thanks for you and Aunty Kathy making the effort to come and visit us multiple times in New Zealand and share time with your New Zealand family. Thanks for sharing your love and knowledge of football with us and some of the many amazing experiences you have had. Thanks for taking us to the non-league final at Wembley Stadium in London when we were kids - it was a day I will never forget. Hard to capture it all and I wish I had a better recall of events than I do. You will be missed and you will be remembered. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aunty Kathy, Stuart & Claire, Andrew, Kirsty, Jonathan, William and Hannah. Lots of love from Iain, Tina, Joshua, Mitchell and Aimee Bradley XXX
